From Cord Cutters News - Sorry, Netflix Will Have to Charge Sales Tax in Colorado - "In a landmark decision that could reshape how digital services are taxed, the Colorado Court of Appeals has ruled that Netflix subscriptions are subject to state sales tax, overturning a lower court’s decision."  The 19 page opinion can be accessed here.

From Reuters - Trump sued by US states over withholding $6.8 billion for schools - "A coalition of mostly Democratic-led states filed a lawsuit on Monday challenging a move by U.S. President Donald Trump's administration to withhold about $6.8 billion in congressionally approved federal funding for K-12 schools." - The complaint can be accessed here.

From NJ.com - State agency can’t be sued for harassment by municipal court staff, N.J. court rules - "A New Jersey appeals court has dismissed a lawsuit filed against the state court system by a municipal court administrator who accused a judge of harassment and assault." - The opinion can be accessed here.

Arizona Republic - No Labels can't block party members from running under its banner in Arizona, court rules - "Political party bosses in Arizona can't dictate who can run for office, following a new ruling by the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals against the No Labels party." - The opinion can be accessed here.

Chicago Tribune - Board of Elections workers should not be barred from unionizing, judge finds - "An argument that city elections workers should not be allowed to unionize because doing so would constitute “political activity” did not pass muster with a judge for the state’s labor board."

Philadelphia Inquirer - Pennsylvania’s 1.4 million unaffiliated voters can’t vote in primaries. A new lawsuit argues it’s unconstitutional - Four Pennsylvania voters are asking the state Supreme Court to invalidate the commonwealth’s closed primary system in an effort to allow unaffiliated voters to cast a ballot in partisan primary elections in the crucial swing state."

Reuters - West Virginia ban on abortion medication upheld - "A divided federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld West Virginia's near-total ban on abortion, including limits on the widely used medication abortion drug mifepristone." The opinion can be accessed here

Dayton Daily News -  Ohio appeals ruling from Miami County judge that overturned rape convictions - Lawyers from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office have filed an appeal of a ruling by a Miami County judge that overturned guilty verdicts for former West Milton police officer 

The OregonianFederal judge issues emergency order to prevent deportation of Portland family - "A federal judge in Seattle has issued an emergency order to prevent U.S. Customs and Border Protection from deporting a Portland family with four U.S.-born children who were detained for about two weeks at a Washington holding facility."
